Many of my pictures are taken in parts of LA that I would have no idea how to find. I might be crossing town and take a random turn down a random street to avoid traffic. This was one of those occasions. The dichotomy of the image is the beautiful sky butted up against one of the saddest words in the English language. It felt very loaded and cinematic to me.
